Day 1: Welcome to Freycinet
Welcome to your off-grid escape. Upon arrival in Hobart, we recommend spending the Thursday evening in one of the city’s many centrally located hotels.
On Friday morning, you'll meet at the Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel at 10.30am for a 11.00am departure, where we will travel on to Hobart Airport for an 11:30am pick-up before heading to Freycinet. For those who cannot make the morning departure, there will be a second pick-up at the Woolstore at 1.00pm, stopping in at Hobart Airport at 1:30pm.
For those on the initial departure you'll enjoy a picnic lunch and become acquainted with your fellow guests as you experience the spectacular local scenery, before arriving at your architecturally acclaimed Friendly Beaches Lodge.
Check in to your private cocoon with ample time to acclimatise and explore the exclusive spaces available to you. Perhaps peruse the library, enjoy a hot tub, or take a walk along a deserted beach.
As the sun dips low, we’ll gather in the lounge for a warm welcome from your dedicated team before joining fellow guests in the dining lodge for a relaxed and delicious meal. For those inclined, the evening offers the option to enjoy a light-hearted game of charades.
When you’re ready, retreat to your private space, bask in the serene atmosphere, and drift into a peaceful slumber, feeling as though the world has stopped turning.
